The story Identities is about a man who is afraid to go into the world. He is afraid because of his appearance and that people are going to stereotype him.
The man has no destination, but he leaves his house just to drift around and see what the world looks like. At the same times scared. Reason being that he drives a Mercedes Benz with his look.
In that neighbourhood no one drives those kind of cars. That was why those young kids were following him without blinking their eyes. As he parks and walks towards the store he felt fear as he was approaching these guys with leather jackets.
